Our standard process for building projects that do not require a building permit* (Backyard Pods)
- We collect a basic understanding of Backyard Pod requirement and floor plan. (Request our Pod and Studio Guide PDF)
- If possible a site visit or request photos of the potential build site.
- Talk with council about any potential problems with planning and building easements. (Council may request basic drawings if you would like a response in writing)
- Once we have a clear understanding of all the requirements we provide a fixed Quotation.
- We then draft your building dimensions and details based on your requirements ready for manufacturing.
- We commence manufacturing of your backyard pod in accordance with your custom design.
*Manufacturing Deposit of 50% is required at this point. - You will be notified of a delivery schedule and will be advised when we will come and install foundations/footings.
(Slab or Piers/Stumps) - Delivery of your Backyard pod Package and Assembly by our team.
- After Frames are standing and windows and doors installed a further 25% payment installment is required.
- When final inspection is completed, final payment will be required.
Our standard process includes Planning & Building Permits (Garden Studios)
- We collect a basic understanding of your Garden Studio requirement and floor plan.
- If possible a site visit or request photos of the potential build site.
- Based on the information on hand we will provide an estimation.
- We request documents such as your land title and a Geo-Soil Sample report.
- We then complete a site plan and elevation set to present to council. *Site plan and elevations submission to council $450 + GST
- We submit to your local council planning department your intended new building design and request feedback in regards to if your project requires a planning permit.
- If Council have no relevant feedback we then finalise a fixed Quotation to manufacture your Garden Studio and building package.
- We engage a building surveyor to complete your building permit. Average price is $2,200
- We then complete draft drawings of your Garden Studio
*Price varies based on your building foot print. - Your draft drawings are then sent to an engineer to be certified.
*Price varies based on building foot print. - Your certified engineered drawings will then be sent to the building surveyor to issue your building permit.
- At this point you need to make a decision if your going to complete the assembly of your kit building as an
OWNER BUILDER or engage yours/our REGISTERED BUILDER - Your building permit is approved.
- We commence manufacturing of your Garden Studio in accordance to your engineering.
*Manufacturing Deposit of 50% is required at this point. - You will be notified of a delivery schedule and will be advised to prepare your footings.
(Slab or Piers/Stumps) - Delivery of your Garden Studio and building package based on your delivery schedule.
*Final balance payment is required at this point. - We provide support to you as an OWNER BUILDER or to a REGISTERED BUILDER during the assembly of your Garden Studio.
