Our standard process for building projects that do not require a building permit (Backyard Pods)
1. We collect a basic understanding of Backyard Pod requirement and floor plan. (Request our Pod and Studio Guide PDF)
2. If possible a site visit or request photos of the potential build site.
3. Talk with council about any potential problems with planning and building easements. (Council may request basic drawings if you would like a response in writing)
4. Once we have a clear understanding of all the requirements we provide a fixed Quotation.
5. We then draft your building dimensions and details based on your requirements ready for manufacturing.
6. We commence manufacturing of your backyard pod in accordance with your custom design.
*Manufacturing Deposit of 50% is required at this point.
7. You will be notified of a delivery schedule and will be advised when we will come and install foundations/footings.
(Slab or Piers/Stumps)
8. Delivery of your Backyard pod Package and Assembly by our team.
9. After Frames are standing and windows and doors installed a further 25% payment installment is required.
10. When final inspection is completed, final payment will be required.
Our standard process includes Planning & Building Permits (Garden Studios)
1. We collect a basic understanding of your Garden Studio requirement and floor plan.
2. If possible a site visit or request photos of the potential build site.
3. Based on the information on hand we will provide an estimation.
4. We request documents such as your land title and a Geo-Soil Sample report.
5. We then complete a site plan and elevation set to present to council. *Site plan and elevations submission to council $450 + GST
6. We submit to your local council planning department your intended new building design and request feedback in regards to if your project requires a planning permit.
7. If Council have no relevant feedback we then finalise a fixed Quotation to manufacture your Garden Studio and building package.
8. We engage a building surveyor to complete your building permit. Average price is $2,200
9. We then complete draft drawings of your Garden Studio

10. Your draft drawings are then sent to an engineer to be certified.

11. Your certified engineered drawings will then be sent to the building surveyor to issue your building permit.
12. At this point you need to make a decision if your going to complete the assembly of your kit building as an
OWNER BUILDER or engage yours/our REGISTERED BUILDER
13. Your building permit is approved.
14. We commence manufacturing of your Garden Studio in accordance to your engineering.
*Manufacturing Deposit of 50% is required at this point.
15. You will be notified of a delivery schedule and will be advised to prepare your footings.
(Slab or Piers/Stumps)
16. Delivery of your Garden Studio and building package based on your delivery schedule.
*Final balance payment is required at this point.
17. We provide support to you as an OWNER BUILDER or to a REGISTERED BUILDER during the assembly of your Garden Studio.
