Effective Date: Upon delivery and installation completion
Warranty Coverage
Melbourne Backyard Pods warrants to the original purchaser that the structural components of your backyard pod will be free from defects in materials and workmanship for a period of seven (7) years from the date of installation completion.
What Is Covered
Structural Frame (7 Years)
- Steel frame and structural steel components against rust-through, warping, or structural failure under normal use
Roofing & Cladding (7 Years)
- Roof sheeting and wall cladding against perforation due to corrosion under normal atmospheric conditions
Flooring System (7 Years)
- Structural flooring components against defects in materials and workmanship
What Is Not Covered
This warranty does not cover:
- Damage caused by misuse, neglect, accident, or unauthorised modifications
- Normal wear and tear, fading, or weathering of finishes
- Damage from extreme weather events, flooding, or natural disasters
- Damage caused by failure to maintain the pod as recommended
- Cosmetic imperfections that do not affect structural integrity
- Electrical, plumbing, or fit-out components (covered under separate warranties where applicable)
- Damage resulting from site movement, soil conditions, or inadequate foundations
Warranty Conditions
- The pod must be installed by Melbourne Backyard Pods or an authorised installer
- The pod must be used for its intended purpose
- Regular maintenance must be performed as per our care guidelines
- Any defect must be reported in writing within 30 days of discovery
Making a Claim
To make a warranty claim, contact us with:
- Your name and installation address
- Date of purchase and installation
- Description of the defect with supporting photographs
- Proof of purchase
Our Obligations
Upon validation of a warranty claim, Melbourne Backyard Pods will, at our discretion:
- Repair the defective component, or
- Replace the defective component, or
- Provide a replacement of equivalent value
Labor and materials for valid warranty repairs will be provided at no cost to the original purchaser.
Limitations
This warranty is non-transferable and applies only to the original purchaser at the original installation address. Our liability is limited to repair or replacement as outlined above. To the extent permitted by law, we exclude liability for any consequential or indirect loss.
